Abel Horwitz was a scareactor at Halloween Horror Nights in 2012. Since 2013 he has acted and has helped shape the “Urban Death: Tour of Terror” haunted house at Zombie Joe’s Underground Theater — the most successful show in ZJU theater history. In 2015 he created “Serial Killer Speed Dating”, where actual speed dating meets murder mystery theater, which has received press from Blumhouse.com, Snapchat’s “LA Stories” and All Hallow’s Haunts among others. He has written articles on LA’s haunted house scene for LAist and Horror Buzz and has been interviewed by the No Proscenium podcast to discuss LA’s haunt scene. He is one of the main subjects in the documentary “The Blackout Experiments”, which debuted at Sundance in January and is currently in theaters and on demand.
