Proud undertaker and grounds keeper of VanOaks Cemetery, established in 2011, Derek Young has been a fan of Halloween since he was just a kid. At 8 years old he designed and made his first tombstone with the the help of his father and he’s been making Halloween ever since. He has experience in foam work, faux finishing, projection effects, animatronics and lighting.

Today, as co-founder of SoCal Valley Haunters, Derek supports his haunter community by encouraging haunters to share their knowledge and improve their craft.
