Join Midsummer Scream and TEA@USC on Saturday, August 1 for a daylong telethon celebrating all things Halloween, while raising money to support those impacted financially by the current pandemic.

The livestream will feature presentations and talks with the creators of your favorite Halloween attractions and films, visits to horror inspired locations, and assorted surprises.

Alongside Midsummer Scream’s full slate of programming for Halloween and horror fans, TEA@USC will be running a full line up of seminars and educational talks for themed entertainment professionals and anyone looking to work in haunted attractions.

“There In Spirit: Midsummer Scream” will be available free to stream on Facebook, YouTube, and Periscope. Programming updates and a full schedule will be announced on this page prior to the event.

There In Spirit: Midsummer Scream will be raising money for organizations supporting community members impacted financially by the pandemic, including:

The Actors Fund

Providing emergency financial assistance to those in immediate financial need. Funds are available to union and non-union workers in entertainment and the performing arts.

The Mayors Fund for Los Angeles Angeleno Campaign

Providing direct and immediate financial assistance for individuals and families experiencing extreme financial hardship caused by a job loss, severe reduction of work hours, or furloughs. This includes low-wage hourly workers who had jobs in homes and restaurants, seasonal workers, and other precarious workers such as day laborers, street vendors, or self-employed individuals who are facing extreme economic hardship because of COVID-19.”
