David F. Wally
David Wally has spent the past three decades working non-stop as a producer, director, writer, and executive, establishing himself as an industry leader in a broad range of entertainment fields including film, theatre, location-based entertainment, immersive experiences, brand activations, and live events. Over a 17-year period, David worked as an executive and producer on such films as Scent of a Woman, Hostage, and Meet Joe Black at City Light Films (with Martin Brest) and Cheyenne Enterprises (with Bruce Willis).
In 2011, David co-founded Mycotoo, and serves as Chief Creative Officer. Working on behalf of Mycotoo, David’s role as a leader in the Halloween industry can be seen through his celebrated work as Talent Director for the Queen Mary’s Dark Harbor, one of the premier Halloween events in Southern California since 2010. David oversaw the design, creative direction and installation of Aftermath 2 at Six Flags Magic Mountain’s Fright Fest in 2016, and (along with his colleague, Bonnie Hallman), David led the design and installation of two new mazes at Warner Bros. Horror Made Here in 2018 (Mycotoo also cast the entire event, and provided talent direction and supervision, with Bonnie leading the HMH effort, while David led the DH team).
Most recently, David has worked regularly as writer, director and show supervisor for a diverse array of branded activations which have celebrated such iconic intellectual properties as the multiple-award-winning Westworld Experience at SXSW 2018; Blade Runner 2049 for San Diego Comic-Con 2017; Fallout 76 for E3 2018; The Inkhole (for the Happytime Murders premiere); and, this past March at SXSW, the final season of HBO’s Game of Thrones.
