October, 1989: The Landmark Theater is back open for business and is kicking off their week-long, open invite event, Fear Fest ’89! Come and see some of the ’80s’ most popular horror films, such as Friday the 13th, Poltergeist, and Aliens. Rumor has it that the refurbished in-theater effects are so realistic, it’s like you’re actually living the movies. In fact, some patrons have never come out of the Landmark. But hey, they’re only movies… right?
