By purchasing tickets for and/or attending Midsummer Scream you agree to the following terms:

All ticket sales are considered final and are non-refundable. Tickets do not guarantee entry to any individual panel or presentation, class or attraction – arrive early, as seating is first-come, first-served.

Admission to Midsummer Scream includes first-come, first-served access to the show floor, panel presentations, Hall of Shadows, and on-site activities during regular show hours. Some workshops may require fees for materials. Exhibitors/vendors may charge admission for experiences in their allotted space.

If the event is cancelled for any reason other than “force majeure” (defined as any extraordinary event or circumstance beyond the control of the event producer, such as a war, strike, riot, crime, or act of God (i.e. hurricane, flood, earthquake, volcanic eruption, etc.)) Midsummer Scream will refund the face value of tickets purchased. Midsummer Scream reserves the right to change the date and/or time of the event no later than 5 weeks before the originally-scheduled date of the event. If a change occurs, ticket holders will be notified immediately.

By attending Midsummer Scream, you agree to allow Black Cat Orange dba Midsummer Scream, its agents, licensees or assignees, the right to use your image and/or likeness by media now known or hereafter devised for advertising and/or other promotional purposes. You also agree not to take pictures or videos or record audio where posted or announced as prohibited, and agree that any photos or videos you take will not be used for commercial purposes without the express permission of Midsummer Scream’s event producers.

INAPPROPRIATE BEHAVIOR: All guests, vendors, and participants must abide by all local, state, and federal laws and policies and guidelines set forth by the Long Beach Convention Center and Midsummer Scream. Facility/event management reserves the right to deny entry or eject patrons for displaying inappropriate behavior as determined by facility/event management to other patrons or to talent/speakers during panels, presentations, or other events/attractions during the course of the convention, at their or our discretion. In the event a patron is denied entry or ejected, they will not receive a refund for their tickets or be compensated in any way.

OUTSIDE PROMOTIONS: Flyering, sampling or any other promotional activity within any ticketed area of Midsummer Scream is prohibited without written permission from the event producers.

WEAPONS, COSTUMES, AND PROPS POLICY:

  • All costume weapons must conform to state and federal law.
  • Projectile costume weapons must be rendered inoperable.
  • Absolutely no props with sharp edges or points, or that could be mistaken as a real firearm.
  • Midsummer Scream reserves the right to refuse entry to anyone carrying a weapon or wearing a costume deemed unsafe at our sole discretion.

VOLUNTARY PARTICIPATION: Participant understands and confirms that participation in any event offered by Black Cat Orange dba Midsummer Scream (hereinafter, the “Events”) is voluntary. Participant hereby warrants that he or she is in good health and suffers from no physical or mental condition that would create a unreasonable risk of harm to himself or herself, or to any other participant of the Events.

COMPREHENSION AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK: Participant understands and acknowledges that there are potential risks involved related to participation in the Events. Participant hereby assumes all risks, known and unknown, foreseeable and unforeseeable, in any way connected with Participant’s participation in the Events. Participant accepts full responsibility for any liability, injury, loss, damage or death in any way connected with my participation in the Events. Participant acknowledges that participation in the Events is at Participant’s sole risk.

RELEASE OF CLAIMS: Participant hereby releases the Company from any and all liability or claims which may arise from participation in the Events. This paragraph shall be inclusive of, but not limited to, any injury or death resulting from exposure to food or beverage allergies, food borne illnesses, theft of or damage to Participants property, transportation or commute, exposure to adverse weather conditions, or choking. Participant, on behalf of Participant and Participant’s successors, agents or assigns, hereby forever and unconditionally releases the Company, its owners, officers, employees, agents, successors in interest and insurers (hereinafter referred to as the “Released Entities”), from any and all claims, actions, damages, liabilities, losses, costs, and expenses, including, without limitation, attorney’s fees, in any way arising out of, or resulting from, Participant’s participation in the Events. Participant further acknowledges that Company is in no way liable for any injury to resulting from Participant’s own conduct or behavior.

MEDICAL EXPENSES AND CONSENT TO MEDICAL TREATMENT: Participant hereby accepts full financial responsibility for any personal medical expenses or treatment which may result from participation in the Events, and hereby releases the Company in full from any potential claim for such medical expenses. Further, Participant hereby authorizes the Company to provide Participant with medical treatment, whether resulting from an emergency or otherwise, and hereby releases Company from any and actions in tort for the provision of such medical attention. Nothing in this shall be construed to create an actual or implied duty upon Company to provide or seek such medical treatment for Participant.

INDEMNIFICATION: Participant agrees to pay any and all costs, fees, expenses and charges arising from any act or conduct of Participant that results in damage or injury to any person, including, but not limited to, any third party participant of the Events or employee of the Company. Participant further agrees to indemnify and hold Company harmless from and against any such act or conduct which results in damages of any kind.

Gold Bat Pass Conditions

Gold Bat Passes available for weekend purchase only.

To enjoy priority access to panels and presentations Gold Bat passholders must (should) arrive for panels and presentations at least 15 minutes before the start time when they will be allowed in ahead of general admission passholders. After this time Gold Bat passholders will be allowed to bypass the line and take a seat for the panel or presentation on a first come, first served basis.

Individual attractions set their own policies and processes on how to honor Gold Bat passholders – if no sign is displayed for a separate line, proceed to the front of the line to notify the attraction manager that you are a Gold Bat passholder.

Gold Bat perks, including priority access, are non-transferable and limited to individual passholders. Perks can not be extended to general admission or other guests of the Gold Bat, including children.
